Tyson Fury’s Epic Comeback: The Battle of the Baddest with Ngannou

Boxing fans, get ready for an electrifying event this weekend as Tyson Fury makes his long-awaited return to the ring, facing former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a historic crossover bout set in Saudi Arabia. The Gypsy King had been dropping hints about this clash ever since his knockout of Dillian Whyte, successfully defending his WBC belt in April 2022.

Despite the anticipation, this matchup has faced criticism from some fans who had hoped to see Fury take on Oleksandr Usyk. Unfortunately, negotiations for that bout fell apart, as did talks for a Battle of Britain showdown with heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua. Instead, Fury will square off with former UFC heavyweight superstar Ngannou under professional boxing rules, and this event is being promoted as the ‘Battle Of The Baddest.’

Ngannou, known as ‘The Predator,’ is making his boxing debut after parting ways with Dana White’s company in January. This 10-round contest will be officially recognized, though Fury’s title will not be on the line. The winner, however, will receive the WBC’s brand-new ‘Commemorative Riyadh Championship’ belt.

Fury’s journey continues as he is slated to face Usyk in Saudi Arabia later this winter to determine the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999. Make sure to mark your calendars for the 10-round crossover clash happening this Saturday, October 28, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The undercard action starts at 6 pm, and fans can expect the main event’s ring walks at approximately 10 pm UK time. Stay tuned for the news.
