In the first week after the launch of the sportsbook in 17 states in the USA, the ESPN Bet app had 1.1 million downloads. This figure surpassed the previous record set by the company FanDuel, whose sports betting app in New York reached 468,000 downloads in its first week.
According to the Apple App Store statistics, last week ESPN Bet was the most downloaded app on the iOS platform. It surpassed other leading apps, including BigFuture School, Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire, and ChatGPT.
Analysts from JMP Securities, specializing in gaming, online gaming, and gaming technologies, stated that ESPN Bet accounted for approximately 70% of all sports betting app downloads last week. FanDuel held the second position with a share of approximately 10%.
