Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has been named the best player in the AFL by the Professional Footballers’ Association of England (PFA).
The Egyptian took part in 35 matches of the season, scored 23 goals, and made 14 assists. The 29-year-old won the award for the second time in his career, having previously won it in the 2017/18 season. He beat Kevin De Bruyne, Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane in the competition for the APL best player title.
Liverpool at the end of the season ranked second in the English championship, one point behind champion Manchester City.
