The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has named the best footballer in the world in 2022. It was the Paris PSG and Argentina forward Lionel Messi.
The star footballer scored 275 points, leaving practically no chance for his rivals.
Thus, Messi’s teammate, French forward Kylian Mbappe, who took second place, scored only 35 points. Karim Benzema, who plays for Real Madrid, was third. The Ballon d’Or winner has 30 points.
Recall that Messi won the gold medal with Argentina at World Cup 2022 in Qatar. He was also recognized as the best player in the tournament.
