WBA Super, IBF, and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) could return to the ring in March. That’s when the mandatory challenger to GGG Esquiva Falcao (30-0, 20 KOs) called it.
According to the Brazilian boxer, he will go to the United States as early as January to begin preparations for the fight.
“The bout is expected to take place at the end of March. That was the deadline the IBF set. I am very confident and focused on this fight,” Falcao told A Gazeta.
Recall that the Brazilian is the mandatory challenger for the IBF middleweight title held by GGG.
