Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was unable to make a transfer to AC Milan or Atletico, who were interested in him, this winter. This was due to a FIFA ban.
According to the Evening Standard, Aubameyang’s move to AC Milan or Atletico was derailed because of FIFA regulations. FIFA regulations stipulate that a player is forbidden to represent more than two teams in one season. The forward has already played for Barcelona and Chelsea in the current campaign, so he will not be able to play for the rest of the season if he transfers to a new team.
Aubameyang played 17 matches for the London club in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists. He joined Chelsea in September 2022 after leaving Barcelona, whom he had played for since January 2022.
