Although the vaccination process has been comparatively succesful in the English Premier leagues clubs so far, and almost 70% of players are fully vaccinated, and about 80% have received at least a single vaccine shot, the EPL management is still concerned about pandemics and possible disease outbreaks.
Thus, the League is considering the new clause to be added to players contracts: the clause will be related to the obligatory vaccination against the coronavirus. The suggestion has been just announced to the clubs so they must consider accepting or rejecting the new term.
The most probable reason for this change adoption is the outbreak of the new coronavirus strain Omicron, which is regarded as more contangious than the previous strains.
