Dalvin Cook was hit by Kevin Givens, the 49er’s defensive tackle at the end of the third quarter of the Sunday game. He left the field on a cart before the game ended up with the Viking’s 34-26 loss, and now his further performance in the season is under the question.
Mike Zimmer, the Vikings’s coach, announced that Cook will undergo the MRI, and no information about his current state and the severity of the injury is available at the moment. However, he admitted it was possible that the trauma will mean the end of the season for Cook. In the worst case scenario, Vikings will have to substitute Cook with Alexander Mattison, but it will still be a game-changing decision and may negatively affect the outcome of the whole season.
