British tennis player Cameron Norrie became the Masters Winner in the US Indian Wells. He won over his Georgian opponent Nikoloz Basilashvili in three sets with the final scores 3:6, 6:4, and 6:1. The game lasted one hour and fifty-one minutes.
Norrie lost the first set 3-6, but fought back in the next two to become the first Brit to win the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells. Being 26th in the ATP ranking, he also became the lowest-ranked player to win Indian Wells since 1987.
Earlier, he beat Grigor Dimitrov in two sets. His Indian Wells final is the sixth ATP final this season and drew up with the world leader Novac Djokovic.
