Sportradar Group, a company specializing in collecting analytics and data for bookmaking companies, has obtained a temporary license for gambling activities in the American state of Kentucky.
Kentucky has become the 38th state in the USA to legalize the activities of bookmakers.
Legal sports betting in retail locations began on September 7th, while online betting started on September 28th.
The cost of a gambling license in the state is $500,000, with an additional $50,000 required for annual renewal. Operators will pay a 9.75% tax on retail bets and a 14.25% tax on online bets. The gambling regulator for Kentucky will be the State Racing Commission.
Previously, leading US bookmakers, including BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, and others, announced that they had obtained licenses to operate in the Kentucky market.
