Center Tibor Pleiss announced that he will not be able to play for Germany at Eurobasket-2022.
Pleiss injured his hip in the Turkish Cup game at the end of the season and had to take painkillers to make it through the game.
The Anadolu Efes player planned to play for the national team for the first time since 2016.
“Unfortunately, the doctors said after an examination that going to Eurobasket didn’t make much sense. I would have had to retake painkillers, plus I wouldn’t have been able to prepare 100 percent,” Pleiss said.
